This blog is about our beautiful son Leo and his fight against a 7cm Teratoma brain tumour that he was born with which continued growing in his tiny head since the day he was born.
The nightmare began on the 2nd of September, not even 3 weeks ago…..
Today 22nd September I was thinking, 3 weeks ago I was on the beach with Leo and Sofia…. life can change so fast….
Therefore, I want to stress to people to live each day as if it were your last as you really do not know what is around the corner. I always thought that these types of things happened to other people and they would ever never happen to me or my family….but the truth is no matter what life you have, rich or poor, what background you are from, race, nationality etc….these things really can happen to anybody…
Who is Leo?
Leo was a typical boy into everything and anything the opposite of his sister Sofia, everyone kept telling me that it is normal with a boy. He has such a cheeky look on his face when he knows he is doing something that he shouldn’t be doing. Sofia and Leo played so well together and she protected and looked after him as though he is the most important thing to her in the world. Leo´s other side to his personality is almost indescribable, he is one of the most caring and loving children I know. He will always flood his family with hugs and kisses and often say I love you to his family. He is for sure a mummy’s boy and is always content if his mummy is in his view. He has the biggest brown eyes that you have ever seen.
